Guava, coconut and rum bread pudding I love bread pudding and putting a recipe that will marry all flavors that I love was an easy tasks. Romeo and Juliette is the name given to a Brazilian dessert. A combination of cheese and guava. Enjoy!!
2 cups sugar 5 beaten eggs 1 1/2 cup coconut milk
1 cup carnation milk
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut flakes
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
Zest lime and juice
4 tablespoon Barbancourt
3 cups diced one day old Haitian bread (about 7 slices)
1 cup diced small diced guava paste
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a baking pan.
2. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
3. Pour over cubed bread and let sit for 15 minutes. Add the guava paste and mix well.
4. Pour bread mixture into prepared pan and bake for 35 to 55 minutes, or until set.
5. Remove from oven.
